“Forest Floor” intends to remark on the cycle of life in the Australian landscape. Fallen leaves and other natural debris are a part of the chain which ultimately feeds the earth and everything on it, in an unending journey of birth, growth, decay, death and regeneration. This painting in the series includes seed pods and gumnuts - the promise of future growth.
This is an original artwork using beautiful artist quality oil paint on pure linen of the finest quality. It was created with just 2 colours plus black and white. The limited palette provides an endless array of skin tones, apricot, pink and mauve; gorgeous subtle browns and greys; a beautiful autumnal palette.
