Dainty feathery pale pink flowers and greyish gum leaves with burnt red highlights, set against a light-speckled green-blue background, all feature in this artwork of the beloved Australian gum tree.

This is the fifth painting in my series of artworks featuring a light-dappled turquoise green background and I’m rather taken with this colour when paired up with rusty brown, grey, and soft pink.

It would look great framed, however this is not absolutely necessary as the painting is ready to hang, right out of the box. The edges of the canvas have been painted as “wrap around” which means that if it is hung in a hallway, you will start to see the scene emerge as you approach the art.

The canvas itself is very high quality, with strong stretcher bars, and the cotton canvas is triple primed and quite thick at 380gsm. I only invest in top quality gallery-standard canvases for my art.

I have used artist quality acrylic colour for this painting, in numerous layers using dry-brushing and other techniques followed by fine lines and details.

I have included some 'In situ' photos, which help us imagine art in our home. Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually hang the painting for you. In situ photos provided here were created using various apps and may not be perfectly to scale. Photos depicting framed art are for illustrative purposes for your interest and consideration. I hope you love my painting and will consider hanging this lovely scene on your wall.
