The Finke River (also known as Larapinta) is regarded as the world’s oldest river, and we loved viewing it from a short helicopter ride while travelling near the West Macdonnell Ranges in the Northern Territory in 2012. This set of three paintings is inspired by a photo I took during our flight. This whole area is completely spellbinding - there is something so special about the twisted snow gums, the rocky gorges, the endless landscape and impossibly blue sky.
This triptych is painted in artist oil paint on quality gallery-wrapped canvas, with sides, top and bottom painted as wrap around. It is ready to hang on sturdy picture wire and each canvas has felt pads on the back to protect your wall. It can be hung close together, or with space in between. The sides have been painted as wrap around, so it’s entirely up to you how you’d like to configure them. They’d look amazing framed, but it’s not completely necessary. If you decide to purchase the framing option, please allow 2 weeks before delivery.
I have included some 'In situ' photos, which help us imagine art in our home. Feel free to reach out with pictures of your own space and I can virtually hang the paintings for you. In situ photos provided here were created using various apps and may not be perfectly to scale. Photos depicting framed art are for illustrative purposes for your interest and consideration.

I hope this scene reminds you of special places in the Australian outback and would consider it for your home.
