This is a fantastical paradise, entirely imaginary, yet somehow familiar and recognisable. The stream, rocky gorge, leafy palms and even the kingfisher, are elements of the Australian outback (in particular, northern Queensland and the Northern Territory) I absolutely adore, and hope to see again one day.
I wanted to squeeze as much colour as I could in this painting, so that it may instil happiness and feelings of wellbeing to all those who view it. I feel tremendous compassion for my fellow Australians right now, and wanted to convey this compassion onto the canvas.

My paintings are treated with the greatest care throughout their life in my studio and home, or at exhibitions where they may temporarily hang. Bubble wrap can be recycled at most supermarkets.
. . . ABOUT THE ARTIST
Having enjoyed a lifetime of creativity and expression, it’s no surprise Eve’s paintings are proving so popular with collectors, with over 130 original artworks sold in the last two years. Eve captures the essence of everyday gardens in our local neighbourhoods and parks, making her art relatable and unpretentious. She interprets her subject with sensitivity and love, and prefers the viewer “feel” rather than “see”.
Eve leads an unconventional life in her off-grid home in central Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden and orchard, and spends most days at the easel.
