Gum leaves feature in most of my linen paintings, however today I noticed one single bottlebrush flower in my garden which the parrots haven't found.  I picked up the brush and proceeded to paint this pretty red flower - actually I painted three - along with its green-grey leaves and delicate stems.  Superb wrens live in my garden and I often hear the call of their young still in the nest, waiting for dinner.  I decided a strong male wren would be the perfect accompaniment to the bottlebrush foliage.

Having enjoyed a lifetime of creativity and expression, it’s no surprise Eve’s paintings are proving so popular with collectors. Eve captures the essence of the everyday gardens in our local neighbourhoods and parks, making her art relatable and unpretentious. She interprets her subject with sensitivity and love, and prefers the viewer “feel” rather than “see”.

Eve leads an unconventional life in her off-grid home in central Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden and orchard, and spends most days at the easel.
